The Chinese League One entered game week 15 this past weekend and it saw dropped points by the side at the top of the league.

Saturday’s action:

There were four games on Saturday. The first saw thirteenth place Yanbian Funde play out a goalless draw with bottom of the table Xinjiang Tianshan.

The second saw Heilongjiang Lava Spring suffer stoppage time heartbreak, losing 2-1 to Liaoning Kaixin. Lava Spring took the lead in the 15th minute after an own goal from Li Boyang. In the 67th minute, Kaixin levelled the match up thanks Sang Yifei. Then deep into stoppage time, four minutes to be precise, Kaixin earned all three points when J.Mulenga scored.

The third and final game on Saturday saw Zhejiang Greentown and Meizhou Hakka play out a goalless draw.

Sunday’s action

Sunday saw four more games in the Chinese League One. The first of these saw fourteenth place Dalian Transcendence draw 2-2 with top-of-the-table Wuhan Zall.

Transcendence comes out of the blocks quickly and raced into a two-goal lead in the 21st minute, thanks to a brace from Rafael Silva. Then in the 32nd minute, J. Kouassi pulled one back for Zall. Just when many people thought an upset was on the cards Zall levelled up with four minutes left through Luo Yi.

The second game saw Zhejiang Yitang beat Shenzhen 1-0, thanks to a goal from Sergio Mota with 15 minutes of the game to go.

The third game saw ninth place, Meizhou Meixian Techand and fifth place, Shijiazhuang Ever Bright draw 0-0.

The fourth and final game of game week 15 saw 15th place, Nei Mongol Zhongyou heavily defeated by sixth place, Qingdao Huanghai 4-0. Ex Brighton, striker Francisco Sandaza opened the scoring in the 24th minute.

Then in the 88th minute, it was 2-0 with Wang Fei scoring. Then a minute later it was three thanks Gao Xiang. One minute into stoppage Huanghai added a fourth from Liu Long.

The teams now head into game week 16 this weekend and it will see a mouth-watering tie in fourth place Meizhou Hakka taking on fifth place, Shijiazhuang Ever Bright.
