Table-toppers Hyderabad FC will play Kerala Blasters FC in Match 99 of the Indian Super League (ISL) tonight, February 23, at the Athletic Stadium in Bambolim.

Hyderabad FC are on top form in the recent matches after beating Bengaluru for 2-1 and FC Goa for 3-2. The game against FC Goa was a tough battle for the Nizams. But in the end, they grabbed all three points. They are currently leading the Indian Super League table with 32 points from 17 matches. But Jamshedpur FC, the second-placed team, has played one game less and has 31 points. So, a win is necessary for Hyderabad to keep the top position and win the League Winners’ Shield.

Kerala Blasters are seated fourth in the table with 27 points from 16 outings, and a win on Wednesday would see them further securing their place in the top-four with Bengaluru FC (26 points) and Mumbai City FC (25 points) also in the fight in fifth and sixth place respectively.

Blasters will be looking to make a winning return after dropping two valuable points against ATK Mohan Bagan in the end. Blasters urgently need a win, or else it will affect their hopes of qualifying for the semifinals after 2016.

“We are happy. But we have a lot to improve. The season has been fantastic for Hyderabad FC. Similarly Kerala is having a very good season and their offensive players are brilliant,” said Hyderabad FC Head Coach Manolo Marquez.

“It’s just another game, they are the best team in India and deservedly on top of the table. We’ve to stay concentrated and try to do well. I expect a tough game. We’ll try to test something different tomorrow, every game is different. No problem, we’ve got enough players with quality. As a coach, it makes me happy,” said Kerala Blasters’ Head Coach Ivan Vukomanovic.
